Among the states of Brazil, Sao Paulo is the most populated. The theater of Sao Paulo.

The Federative Republic of Brazil, or Brazil, is made up of its capital, called Federal District or Brasilia, and twenty six states. In this page we present the names of these states, their capitals or seat of government and the approximate population rounded off to the thousands according to the census of 1991 and 2003. The extension is in square kilometers.
